UMOM: Mother's Friendship Day
UMOM New Day Centers serves up to 150 homeless families at its Van Buren shelter every night. For Mother's Day, UMOM has partnered with Blankets of 
Hope to provide a special Mother's Day just for the moms at UMOM. The event includes family photos, purse giveaway for moms, card making for kids and more. As part of UMOM's 50th anniversary this year, UMOM is selling commemorative tiles that are customizable for UMOM's community legacy wall. Proceeds from the tiles go to support programs to end homelessness at UMOM and provide a lasting tribute for your family.

Cardinals Draft Day Party
The Arizona Cardinals 2014 Draft Party presented by Arizona Ford Dealers will take place on Thursday, May 8 at University of Phoenix Stadium from 4:30-9:30 p.m. Admission and parking are both free. Fans can park in the East Preferred (Gray)
And East (Green) car parks beginning at 3:30 p.m. Stadium gates will open at 4:30 p.m. and fans should enter through Gate 2 on the north side of the stadium.
The draft begins at 5:00 p.m.

Phoenix Squaw Peak Rotary Club, in partnership with Hacienda HealthCare, will announce the launch of "Growing Lives, One Seed at a Time", an enabling garden pilot initiative. The program's mission focuses on creating and promoting barrier-free, accessible gardens that allow people of all ages and abilities to plant and grow native flowers, vegetable and herbs in a safe and accommodating environment.

Peace Officer Memorial Ceremony
On Thursday, May 8th, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. the Pinal County Sheriff's Office will be hosting their annual Peace Officer Memorial Ceremony
The ceremony will take place in front of the Pinal County Peace Officer Memorial which is located in front of our Sheriff's Office at 971 Jason Lopez Circle, Florence.
Sheriff Paul Babeu stated, "It is important to celebrate the lives of all fallen officers and heroes in our communities and pay tribute to their service and sacrifice.
