TUCSON, Ariz. -- A 22-year-old man was arrested Monday for attempting to smuggle 30 pounds of methamphetamine through the Port of Nogales.
 
Customs and Border Protection officers at the Dennis DeConcini crossing selected a GMC SUV for further inspection after a K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics.

During the search, officers removed 28 packages of meth from a non-factory compartment in a trailer he was towing. The meth was valued at nearly $91,000.

The vehicle and drugs were processed for seizure.

Marco Antonio Moreno-Ramirez was referred to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
