PHOENIX – Phoenix police have arrested a man suspected of threatening a female bus driver with a knife last month.

Elio A. Salas, 33, faces charges of aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and assault.

Salas allegedly threatened a city bus driver with a large hunting knife after arguing with her over a reduced-fare card on April 27.

Police said he then fled toward an apartment complex near 57th Avenue and Thomas Road.

Salas was arrested Tuesday morning while riding a city bus.
