ASU student arrested after 2 burned at party pleads guilty to endangerment

PHOENIX – An Arizona State University student who police said threw a bottle of liquor into a large bonfire, severely burning two teenagers, pleaded guilty to endangerment.

Andrew Kent, 22, entered his plea Monday morning.

Police said the alcohol exploded and sent flaming liquid onto the two victims at a Tempe house party in March 2013.

According to police, a high school student from California who was visiting ASU on a recruiting trip and an ASU student received second- and third-degree burns.

Sentencing is set for May 30.
