PHOENIX -- Some relief is finally in sight when it comes to our windy weather.

Strong northeasterly winds will continue through the morning hours, but by this afternoon they should ease up.

The Valley will see a high of about 89 degrees this afternoon under clear skies.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect for Southern Arizona and a Wind Advisory for the high country, but both expire around midday as wind speeds are expected to decrease at that time.

As high pressure begins to shift east toward Arizona, temperatures heat up. Look for highs Friday in the low 90s after a cool start with temperatures in the 50s Friday morning. On Saturday and Sunday, afternoon temperatures will peak near 98 degrees with abundant sunshine.

A slight cool down is likely next week.
