PHOENIX -- Wednesday was another breezy, if not windy, day around the Valley.
The peak wind gusts were in the mid 30s, just like Tuesday, and overall the wind field was not as strong.
However, that breeziness is going to be with us through Thursday.
The reason is that strong area of low pressure to the east of Arizona and a high-pressure ridge pressing in from the west. It’s the same reason we’re seeing Santa Ana winds over in Southern California.
As the ridge of high pressure begins to push its way eastward, we’ll see the winds drop and the temperature soar. By the weekend, Valley highs are expected in the upper 90s.
