PEORIA, Ariz. – Crews pulled a car out of a canal near Loop 303 and Lone Mountain Parkway in Peoria Tuesday morning.

The driver somehow lost control of the vehicle on Loop 303, went off the roadway and into the canal. The car landed upside down in the water.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the driver was the only person in the car. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Cables were hooked up to the vehicle and a crew from a towing company pulled it out of the water.
