PHOENIX --  He's an actor, comedian and talk show host, best known for his late-night comedy and movie and TV roles.

Arsenio Hall joined the Good Morning Arizona crew live from Los Angeles Wednesday morning. He talked to Kaley O'Kelley about the star-studded guest list he features on his nightly show.

"I get people to say unusual things they don't say on other shows," Hall said, mentioning a bit he did with Prince. "I get artists to do things they don't do for other people. We're having a great time."

This week, he features guests ranging from from Real Housewife NeNe Leakes to the band Earth, Wind and Fire.

Hall talked about his stint on Celebrity Apprentice, and why he did it. "It was a prime-time role, on a Sunday night," he says. "And I wanted to re-introduce myself to America. I know there are young people who don't know me. So I wanted to go on Celebrity Apprentice and I wanted to win it!"

He says he believes his audience is the youngest for late-night talk shows. "I also have the most diverse late-night audience," he says. " And things are going great now. But initially, it was scary!"

He said he waited to make his return to late-night TV until his son was a certain age. "When my son was 14, I could talk to him about it," Hall says. "And I wanted to be home, and raise him in a different way than my parents raised me. They used to work so hard. And constantly."

You can watch Arsenio Hall nightly at 10:30 p.m. on 3TV.
