Inaugural PHX3on3 basketball tourney hits downtown this weekend

PHOENIX -- The inaugural PHX3on3, is a 3-on-3 basketball tournament being played on April 19-20 with over 250 teams ranging from youth to adult ages and coming from all over the Southwest and as far north as Washington. 

The action will take place on over 45 half-courts in the streets surrounding US Airways Center. 

Event is free for spectators, as they can enjoy the Youth Fun Zone, Fan Fest area, Dunk Contest and much more.

Proceeds to benefit the NABI Foundation, a national nonprofit committed to supporting Native American youth.  The PHX3on3 is in partnership with US Airways Center, Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, Banner Wheelchair Suns and Spokane Hoopfest, the largest 3-on-3 tournament in the world.

WHEN: First Round -  Saturday, April 19 at 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
(11 a.m. - Slam Dunk Contest begins)
 Final Round -  Sunday, April 20 at 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.  
(12 p.m. - Easter Bunny appearance)
