PD: Man robs Mesa Chevron at knifepoint, flees on bike

MESA, Ariz. – Mesa police are looking for a suspect who stole money and cigarettes from a gas station.

The armed robbery happened at the Chevron at Southern Avenue and Gilbert Road shortly before 5:30 a.m. on April 5. 

Police said the suspect entered the Chevron convenience store while waving a knife around then demanded money and cigarettes from the clerk. He fled after getting the items.

There were no customers in the store at the time.

Police said the suspect rode his bicycle to and from the Chevron.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic or Native American male, 6 feet tall, 200 pounds with black hair, wearing a long-sleeved shirt, bandanna and sunglasses.
