Unusual odor in West Valley home sends 2 to hospital

PHOENIX -- Two people were taken to a local hospital after smelling an unusual odor at their West Valley home.
A family called for help after a strange smell made it hard for them to breathe.
Eight people were treated at the scene near 67th Avenue and Camelback Road while two were taken to a hospital as a precaution.
Firefighters weren't able to find the source of the smell at the house, but they did find traces of it in a neighboring house.
"We are confident to say that it's nothing that's going to cause any more injuries or sickness to any of the families in the neighborhoods around the area," said Gilbert Mancilla with the Glendale Fire Department.
The next-door neighbors were evacuated, but no one else in the neighborhood was told to leave.
