PHOENIX -- Two weak storm systems are bringing gusty winds across most of Arizona this weekend.

The first system moves out late Saturday night. The second will track across northern Arizona Sunday.

North of the Mogollon Rim, wind gusts of around 40 to 45 miles per hour, combined with low relative humidity between 5 and 15 percent, have prompted Fire Weather Watches and Wind Advisories moving into Sunday. Comparable winds and low humidity in southeastern Arizona triggered a Red Flag Warning.

While winds will weaken overnight Saturday into Sunday, they’re expected to kick up again Sunday afternoon. In the Valley, expect sustained winds of 10 to 20 miles per hour with higher gusts peaking between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Wind speeds will once again die down late Sunday night. Patchy blowing dust could be an issue in susceptible areas.

Isolated showers are expected across northern Arizona late Saturday night and into Sunday. The Valley will remain dry with clear skies.

Sunday morning in Phoenix, look for a low of around 59 with an afternoon high of 89. Monday will be slightly cooler, but still warmer than normal, with a high of 86.
