PHOENIX --   Easter is just around the corner. And this year, consider getting some of your Easter treats at Chocolade van Brugge.

The store will be hosting the Family Easter Extravaganza, honoring Comfy Cozy for Chemo.

Comfy Cozy is a fun clothing line for kids that would provide comfort and dignity during treatment. These special T-shirts are designed with zippers, pockets and slits to allow access to chest-ports without exposing the child's body and to allow for storing of the IV lines preventing tangling and pulling on their clothing.

"They (kids) have to take their shirts off to get port access to their heart," explains founder Lorraine Tallman.  "We created these little shirts so no one has to go through chemo naked."

Enter Chocolade van Brugge, an exclusive chocolatier in North America that imports handcrafted chocolates directly from Belgium. They are hosting a heartwarming community event this Sunday, April 13th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.

Chocolade van Brugge invites kids of all ages, grandparents and parents for a fun-filled family afternoon of activities to benefit Comfy and Cozy for Chemo, featuring Emma the Brave. The Easter bunny will visit and local artist Emma the Brave will lead a bunny coloring contest and Easter egg decorating.

Emma has been battling "something" for most of her life. At the age of 3, she was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in the middle of her spine the length of her back.  After 3 surgeries, Emma continues to battle to regain the ability to walk, run, skip, hop and jump just like a normal 8-year-old! For the last 2 years Emma has been chosen as one of 5 child artists for PCH's annual holiday card program raising money for the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.

Comfy Cozy for Chemo is a non-profit, support and educational organization founded in 2013 in celebration of Amanda Hope's life that ended all too soon when she lost her battle against Leukemia. During her four-year fight, Amanda Hope dreamed that one day she would design a fun clothing line for kids in the same type of situation that would provide comfort and dignity during treatment.  The clothes are made in the fun, tie-dye colors that Amanda loved so much.

Comfy Cozy's goal is for every child in Arizona who needs a port will receive a "Comfy cozys for Chemo" T-shirt from Amanda Hope's Dream. Donations will be accepted for Comfy Cozy and Emma the Brave at this event. Emma's artwork will also be displayed and for sale.

So this Sunday, experience the charm of an authentic Belgian café.  Stop in for a coffee, or build your own hot chocolate with milk, white and dark chocolate. Come try a sampler plate of chocolates, or grab a freshly baked croissant. In the tradition of the many coffee shops and cafes in Bruges there is relaxed outdoor seating and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Chocolade van Brugge is located at 4225 North Marshall Way, Suite 102, Scottsdale, Arizona.
