PHOENIX -- Neighbors and firefighters saved a Maryvale home after a backyard shed caught fire early Friday morning.

It occurred near 75th Avenue and Indian School Road.

No one appeared to be home at the time but neighbors noticed the fire and called 911.

The fire melted a power line and spread into the attic of the home, but firefighters cut a hole in the roof to control the smoke and fire travel.

"We were able to save all of the contents in this home. There's very little personal property damage," Phoenix Fire Capt. Tony Mure said.

The cause is under investigation.
