Suspect sought in WestWorld ATM burglary

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Scottsdale police say they are searching for a man who tried to steal money from an ATM at WestWorld.

About 3 p.m. April 4, a citizen reported to private security that a man was drilling an ATM.

When challenged by security, the man fled in a pickup truck reported stolen out of Phoenix, according to police.

No cash was stolen but the machine had hundreds of dollars worth of damage.

The suspect is described as 200-pound man between 50 and 65 years old with gray hair and blue eyes. He was wearing glasses at the time.

The pickup truck is described as a 2005 white GMC Sierra with Arizona plate BBX8006.
