PHOENIX -- Early April usually brings afternoon temperatures in the low 80s in the Valley. Instead, we'll be in the upper 90s this afternoon.
We topped out at 94 degrees yesterday and we'll warm up even more to about 97 degrees today.
Tomorrow is expected to be the warmest day of the week at 98 degrees, which is just 2 degrees away from Thursday's record high of 100.
High clouds are expected today through Friday with upper 90s in the afternoons and overnight lows in the 60s.
On Saturday, a mostly dry storm system moves through the state, dropping temperatures and increasing winds. Some higher elevations could get some rain, but the Valley will stay dry.
