Fill the Easter baskets for less and stock up on wine, tooPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Sometimes the Easter Bunny needs a little bit of help filling the Easter basket with cool treats for less.
Chocolade van Brugge, located at 4225 N. Marshall Way, #2 Scottsdale, is offering 3TV viewers and azfamily.com readers a 15-percent discount today (Tuesday, April 8). They have all kinds of Easter items you’ll love and the Belgian chocolate (direct from Belgium) is amazing.
They also have a fundraiser going on this Sunday, April 13. For $5 you’ll get a chocolate egg truffle of your choice, Easter egg decorating, Easter bunny coloring, and the Easter Bunny himself will be in attendance for pictures (no charge). All proceeds will benefit Comfy Cozy for Chemo and Emma the Brave.
For kids who love Star Wars, 12-inch figures are on sale for $5 right now (usually $12.99) at Kmart. Head over here to print a coupon for $2 off any 12-inch Star Wars figure. (Hurry to print before they run out). That means $3 Star Wars figures.
"Frozen" is a hit that isn’t going anywhere anytime soon ,and the movie would be a nice addition to the Easter basket. You can snag it on DVD for $14.96 at Amazon.
Old Navy has a fun deal going on right now, two pairs of flip flops for $5. Use this 20-percent off coupon I found to get them down to $2 a pair. There are lots of sizes and colors available right now.
Old Navy also has adorable sunglasses for the girls available for $5.75. Use this coupon again to get the price down under $5. They have complete UVA/UVB protection and seem pretty sturdy.
Gummy bears make sweet Easter basket stuffers! Hurry to print a coupon for $.30 off Haribo gummy bears. Since Fry’s makes every coupon worth at least $1 and gummy bears are $1 at Fry's, they should be FREE. Print up to two coupons while they’re still available.
Adults, this is for you. Head to your closest Albertsons and ask for the Big Deal Book. On the second to last page, you’ll see a coupon for $40 off your grocery purchase of $40.01 or more when you buy six or more bottles of select wine or spirits.
Once Upon a Vine wine is usually $13.99, but on sale for $8.88 through Tuesday. You’ll automatically get 10 percent off when you buy six bottles, bringing the per bottle cost down to $7.99. Since this wine is part of the $40 off deal, you’ll save $6.67 toward groceries for each bottle. So it’s like paying $1.32 per bottle of wine. There are other bottles of wine eligible for the discount, too.
You can use the coupon once per visit (no limit) all the way through April 29. I might snag a couple of Big Deal books (though my Albertsons said you could ask the cashier for a coupon, too).
Enjoy the deals!
