Teen falls to his death in northern Ariz.

CANE BEDS, Ariz. -- A 16-year-old from Utah died after falling while hiking in Mohave County Sunday morning.

Rulon Jessop was camping with his uncles and his younger brother in the Cane Beds area near Colorado City in the Arizona Strip north of the Grand Canyon.

According to the Mohave County Sheriff's Office, they were climbing on the face of a rock to reach a cave when Rulon slipped and fell approximately 100 feet.

Sheriff's deputies and Colorado City Fire Department personnel responded to the scene.

The victim's body was recovered and released to the Mohave County medical examiner.
