What do 35,000 people, 100+ restaurants and dozens of top local and celebrity chefs have in common? They'll all be attending the 36th annual Scottsdale Culinary Festival, a six-day celebration of food, fun and fundraising from April 8 to 13. And despite being one of the nation's longest running food festivals, as well as helping raise more than $3.8 million for the arts and arts education across Arizona, the SCF just gets tastier each year.
In 2014, savor three all-new events including the classic Hollywood-themed Opening Night Affair, the visually stunning (and mysterious) An Artist Palate diner held in a secret location, and the exotic From BBQ To Braai tasting event starring South Africa's own chef Hugo Uys. But that's just a taste of the SCF's event lineup, including the signature Great Arizona Picnic, a two-day food, drink and music filled affair unspooling across the grassy grounds of the Scottsdale's Civic Center.
Not to mention, stylish cocktail soirees like Bubble & Bliss and Eat Drink & Be Pretty; the self-explanatory Chocolate & Wine Experience and Wine Country Brunch; and a Burger Battle so big it's hosted in a baseball stadium. And once again, the 2014 SCF wraps up with the celebrity chef-fueled Best of The Fest featuring 8 of the Valley's finest maestros cooking side-by-side. Lastly, food fans are invited to get in on the fun (and turn their food pics into free tix) with the #SCFLOVE Instagram contest.
