GRAND CANYON, Ariz. -- The Grand Canyon is celebrating National Park Week by waiving entrance fees on April 19 and 20.
The annual National Park Week begins with Earth Day on April 19 and runs through April 27.
The Grand Canyon will host an open house on April 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring green celebrations and activities.
The promotion only covers entrance fees and does not apply to costs associated with camping, concessions, reservations or tours.
Anyone spending time at the park beyond April 20 has to pay the standard entrance fee for the rest of the stay.
Other fee-free days include Aug. 25 for the National Park Service's birthday, Sept. 27 for National Public Lands Day and Nov. 11 for Veterans Day.
