SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- A man was arrested Thursday after allegedly burglarizing 31 lockers at two Scottsdale schools.

Police say Kevin Grant Biggs, 22, stole cash and multiple cellphones and IDs from the boys' locker rooms at Chapparal High School and Mountainside Middle School.

Biggs allegedly entered the Chapparal High campus shortly after 4 p.m. March 21 and stole a cellphone and $20 from an unlocked locker.

He was reportedly captured on surveillance video and seen on campus by witnesses. Police said he also admitted to the theft.

About 3:15 p.m. on March 26, Biggs allegedly stole 15 cellphones from the boys' locker room at Mountainside Middle School.

He ran off campus after being confronted by a school employee but was again captured on surveillance video, according to police.

Biggs reportedly admitted to being on the middle school campus but did not say why.

After another burglary was reported at Chapparal High on Thursday, detectives arrested Biggs about 3 p.m. near Chapparal and McDowell roads.

He was allegedly in possession of seven students' IDs at the time, including driver's licenses and school-issued ID cards.

Police say the items reported stolen have a total value of more than $12,000.

Biggs was booked on numerous charges of burglary and felony theft.
