PEORIA, Ariz. – Peoria police have arrested a man suspected of robbing two pharmacies on the same day.

Ryan Clune, 28, was taken into custody on Monday after police received several tips from the public, according to police spokeswoman Amanda Jacinto.

Detectives had asked for the public's help to identify a suspect who robbed two pharmacies on March 19. Police said the suspect took narcotic pills from a grocery store pharmacy near 83rd Avenue and Cactus Road and another near 89th Avenue and Bell Road.

His demand note claimed he had a gun.

During a search of Clune's home, detectives found evidence linking him to the robberies, including almost $8,000 believed to be from the sale of the stolen drugs.

Clune faces two counts of robbery and is being held without bond.
