PHOENIX -- A cold front moving through the state is bringing light showers to the deserts and slightly stronger rain and snow to the mountains of our state.

Accumulations are not expected to be very big, but the storm is ushering in some more cool air.

At this point, we’re forecasting Valley highs only in the 70s through Saturday. By Sunday, we’ll return to highs in the low 80s.

It’s also fairly breezy around the Valley as well. Peak wind gusts, for the most part, have been right around 30 mph. Those winds will gradually start to decline later tonight.
