KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) -- Authorities in northwestern Arizona say human remains found last year could be from an American Indian from 1,800 years ago. Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene of where human remains were located southeast of Colorado City last Nov. 11. Children playing in the area reported finding bones in the desert. The county Medical Examiner's Office recovered the remains and later sent them to an anthropologist. On Monday, sheriff's officials say they've been told by a Flagstaff anthropologist that the human remains appear to be those of a Native American male dating to approximately 1,800 years ago. No additional information was immediately available.
