PHOENIX -- A second suspect has been arrested in the murder of a Valley security guard.

Monday evening, police arrested 18-year-old Horacio Herron. Arick Robinson, 19, had previously been taken into custody.

Investigators believe Herron and Robinson shot and killed security guard Christopher L. Cipolla, 54.

It happened before dawn Monday morning in the neighborhood of 35th Avenue between Roeser Road and Southern Avenue.

Police say the suspects were attempting a burglary when Cipolla confronted them. He crashed his car when he was shot and died at the scene.

"He was a friend of mine," says one man who knew the victim. "I knew him for about two years. He has been on this property about maybe three to four years. He was a real cool guy, real nice guy."

Both suspects face murder charges.
