2 Workers injured while building Scottsdale home

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Two construction workers were injured Wednesday while building a custom home in North Scottsdale.

It occurred near Thompson Peak Parkway and Legacy Boulevard.

The workers were putting up a wall on the second story of the house when one fell off a beam and landed on the ground 20 feet below, according to the Scottsdale Fire Department. The beam struck the other worker in the head.

The workers were taken to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, according to fire officials.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration was notified.
