FLORENCE, Ariz. (AP) -- A San Tan Valley man $25,000 behind in child-support payments has been arrested by authorities after being chased on a golf course.

Pinal County Sheriff's officials say 47-year-old Patrick G. Moloney has been booked into the jail on an outstanding warrant from Maricopa County Superior Court for failing to pay child support.

His bond is set at $10,000.

Sheriff's officials say Moloney also owes back child support for two children from a previous relationship.

They say Maloney ran from his home near Johnson Ranch Golf Course last Thursday after sheriff's deputies came to his house looking for him.

Deputies used a golf cart to chase Moloney down.

Moloney's ex-wife told authorities that he allegedly was planning to leave the area as soon as he received a tax refund check.
