PHOENIX -- A rather windy day in northern Arizona will quiet down Monday evening. In fact, wind speeds around the entire state will be dropping off.

On Monday, peak wind gusts included 55 miles an hour at Springerville, and 49 mile an hour wind gusts at Flagstaff and Prescott. The peak wind gusts in the Valley were only in the mid-20s.

Dry weather around metro Phoenix and a slow warming trend will dominate our weather the rest of the week. By the weekend, look for highs in the mid-80s. No rain is in the forecast.
