PHOENIX -- Spring break, spring training, St. Patrick's Day celebrations and the Luke Air Force Base air show had people on the move in the Valley this weekend causing some delays at Sky Harbor International Airport.

The airport was packed with travelers Sunday, as baseball fans were heading home and Valley spring breakers were heading out.

"I just got off of school," Heather Dixon said. "I think we're all ready to just party and get ready for St. Patty's Day."

Airport visitors were being directed through lines to keep things moving.

"I've never seen it like this here before," said traveler Brett Stauffer.

The crowds were causing delays for many travelers, particularly those waiting in line at ticket counters.

"Advice: print your boarding pass before you leave home because we got in the shorter line," Carol Schaupner said.

While some travelers were frustrated by the long wait times, others had anticipated possible delays.

"We got here two hours in advance, so we should be fine," Justin Gulliver said.
