PEORIA, Ariz. – Police have arrested one of two suspects wanted in connection with an armed robbery at a Peoria big-box store earlier this week.

Skyler Milligan, 19, was taken into custody on Thursday. He faces armed robbery and reckless driving charges. Police are still searching for Aaron Burleson, 20.

Peoria police spokeswoman Amanda Jacinto said Milligan walked into a big-box store near Bell Road and 79th Avenue just after 5 p.m. Tuesday and attempted to take and conceal items from the electronics area. A store employee caught him but allowed him to hand over the items and leave the store.

Burleson then entered the store and tried to buy several electronic items, but his credit cards were denied. Jacinto said he applied for a store card by filling out an application with his personal information, but the application was denied so he tried to take the items without paying for them.

Burleson reportedly pulled out a knife and threatened store employees when they tried to stop him.

He then got into a gray 2007 Ford Taurus driven by Milligan and they left the store.

Jacinto said evidence left at the scene helped detectives identify the suspects.

Anyone with information on Burleson's whereabouts is asked to contact Peoria police at 623-773-7045 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
