PHOENIX (AP) -- An Anthem doctor has pleaded guilty to several charges in a sex case involving a child.

A Maricopa County Superior Court spokeswoman says Dr. Lewis Underwood faces an April 14 sentencing after pleading guilty to sexual conduct with a minor, attempted sexual exploitation of a minor and attempted molestation of a child.

Authorities said Underwood was arrested in December 2010 on suspicion of molesting a former employee's then 9-year-old son and that investigators found pornography at his home.

Police said the doctor admitted to engaging in sexual conduct with the boy during an interview with deputies.

Additional counts of sexual exploitation of a minor were filed six months later after the MCSO Sex Crimes Unit discovered more than 88,000 photographs and 1,500 videos depicting child pornography.

Underwood first entered a plea of not guilty last March. He changed his plea Tuesday, not quite a full year later.
