SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Police are searching for a man who forced his way into a woman's Scottsdale apartment and sexually assaulted her Friday afternoon.

About 1:30 p.m., the woman was home alone when she heard a knock on her door and a man saying he had a delivery, according to Scottsdale police spokesman Officer David Pubins.

Pubins said when the woman opened the door, the man pushed his way into the apartment and demanded she remove her clothes.

He then reportedly restrained her with an item of clothing and began sexually assaulting her. A short time later, his attention was diverted and he left the apartment, Pubins said.

The man is described as being in his 20s and about 6 feet tall with light brown skin and greasy hair. His clothing was dirty.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Scottsdale Police Department at 480-312-5000 or 480-312-TIPS to remain anonymous.
