Mesa man arrested after child pornography found on computers

MESA, Ariz. – A Mesa man faces 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor after videos and photographs of child pornography were discovered on two computers in his apartment, according to police.
In February, someone downloaded 171 images of child pornography, according to court documents. The Arizona Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force discovered that the computer being used to share the images and videos was located near Broadway and Ellsworth roads.
Detectives from the task force served a search warrant at Chester Davis' apartment Thursday morning. According to court paperwork, they found two laptop computers that contained thousands of images depicting child pornography.
Police said Davis, 56, lives alone at the apartment. He was arrested and booked into the Maricopa County Jail.
His bond was set at $25,000.
Davis has a preliminary hearing on March 17.
