PHOENIX (AP) -- Bond is set at $100,000 for a transient accused in the 2011 killing of a woman in Phoenix.

Darren Keith Longoria had his initial appearance Wednesday in Maricopa County Superior Court.

The 38-year-old Longoria was arrested last month at a homeless camp in Salem, Ore., and extradited Tuesday to Phoenix.

He's being held on suspicion of second-degree murder and doesn't have a lawyer yet.

Longoria is scheduled to be arraigned Monday.

A warrant for his arrest was issued in January.

Phoenix police say Longoria is suspected in the killing of 45-year-old Lynette Fraley, who was found dead in a wheelchair inside an abandoned apartment on Jan. 7, 2011.

Detectives learned Longoria had been living with the victim and physical and forensic evidence lead to developing probable cause for his arrest.
