TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- State wildlife officials say two more bighorn sheep have died in the Catalina Mountains north of Tucson.

That means 15 of the 31 bighorns relocated from the Yuma area to the Catalinas last November are dead.

Arizona Game and Fish officials also say a third mountain lion has been killed for preying on the sheep since the relocation.

The agency is overseeing an effort to rebuild a bighorn herd that disappeared from the Catalinas in the 1990s.

A bighorn found dead Sunday was a ewe and wildlife officers have determined it was killed by a mountain lion.

They say the bighorn found dead Tuesday was a ram. That reduces the number of rams in the remaining group of sheep to two.

The cause of the ram's death is under investigation.
