TEMPE, Ariz. -- Police in Tempe raided an illegal marijuana dispensary Tuesday evening.

It's reportedly happening more often these days, as illegal pop-up storefronts provide just another way for street dealers to  sell their drugs.

There are only two legal marijuana dispensaries in Tempe, but police say the one in a strip mall at Hardy and Broadway is not one of them.

The website for Delta 9 asks for a "donation," and in exchange, customers would get weed. Police say that donation is illegal.

Police tell us that these alleged "dispensaries" promote themselves on the web, and then sell drugs at the locations.

Tempe police say it's a big problem. "We get complaints every so often from people, from other businesses, from residents," says Tempe Police Sgt. Mike Pooley. "We come out as soon as possible. And when we see that they're working illegally, we come out here and we shut them down."

Three people were arrested in Tuesday's police raid. All three face drug possession charges.
