Phoenix weather: Warm days continue in ValleyPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- A ridge of high pressure will keep afternoons about 10 degrees warmer than normal in the Valley for the next several days.
The ridge is relatively weak, so we aren’t expecting any record-breakers.
Saturday afternoon, Sky Harbor Airport reached a high of 79 degrees. High clouds streaming into the Valley are expected to last through Sunday morning.
Our ridge is acting as a storm roadblock, so we aren’t anticipating any rain in Arizona for the next several days. Saturday marked 64 days without rain in Phoenix.
Sunday, look for an afternoon high of about 81 degrees in Phoenix after a morning low of 51 degrees. Temperatures in the low 80s are expected to return to the Valley each day through Wednesday.
Late in the week, a Pacific storm system will track onto the West Coast.
This storm is giving Arizona a chance for some rain by Saturday and into Sunday, along with a drop in temperatures.
Stick with us throughout the week as we continue to watch the track and potency of this storm for our area.
