PHOENIX (AP) -- A man accused of killing his wife at their Scottsdale home has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Maricopa County prosecutors say 61-year-old Michael Jay Cohn was sentenced Friday.

He pleaded guilty last November to second-degree murder in the case.

Cohn originally pleaded not guilty in April 2013 to a charge of first-degree murder.

Scottsdale police say Cohn called 911 last March 27 and said he had strangled his 60-year-old wife.

Responding officers say they found Linda Cohn's body in a bathroom.

Officers say they noticed blood on Michael Cohn's hands and scratches on his neck. But police say Cohn wouldn't tell them what had happened and instead asked for an attorney.
