SUN CITY, Ariz. -- Gamers are excited to see Alphashooters War Room finally open Friday.

Alphashooters, located on 99th Avenue and Bell Road, gives gamers of all experience levels a chance to compete against one another in one big video game center.

Owner Scotty Robertson said he wanted to create a place for people to hang out and have fun with one another, and he saw a need in the gaming community. Alphashooters aims to get gamers out of their solitary rooms, he said, and into a place where they can connect with like-minded people.

"It's clan against clan, it's one against one," Robertson said. "It's more mano-a-mano than playing in your room."

Prices range from $12 to $30 for tournaments and $9 an hour for general play. Alphashooters is open to people ages 17 and up, as well as kids 13 and up who have permission from a parent or guardian. People can also rent out the space for tournaments and parties.
