PHOENIX -- Even though summer is still a few months away, now is time to start thinking about summer camp for your kids.

"Some of these camps fill up by the beginning of March. It's crazy," Mala Blomquist of Raising Arizona Kids Magazine explained. "If you want to get your kid into one of the more popular camps, you really need to plan now and start thinking about signing them up now."

There's a free event this weekend designed to help you.

"It's crazy how many varieties of camps there are," Blomquist said. "It's not like when I was a kid and you'd go to the local community center. There's so much to choose from."

Meet staff from local day camps and overnight camps from around Arizona, throughout the Southwest and across the country. Ask questions, pick up registration information and take advantage of discounts, activities and giveaways many of our camps will be offering on-site.

"There a range for all ages, all activity levels and all interests," Blomquist said.
