3 Taken to hospital after tire blowout leads to crash

PHOENIX -- Three people were taken to a hospital after a car crash in South Phoenix Saturday night.

It occurred at 16th Street and Southern Avenue.

Police said a tire blew on a car and the driver lost control. The car reportedly crossed the center line, clipped two cars and crashed head-on into another car.

Police said the three people were transported as a precaution.
