NOGALES, Ariz. – A Mexican man was arrested Wednesday at the Port of Nogales for attempting to smuggle nearly 393 pounds of marijuana into the United States.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers referred the 55-year-old man from Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, for additional inspection of a tractor-trailer he was driving.

Officers inspected the back of the trailer and found 22 bundles of marijuana co-mingled within a shipment of aircraft parts, according to officials.

The marijuana was worth approximately $196,400.

The drugs and truck were processed for seizure. The driver was turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
