PHOENIX (AP) -- A Phoenix man has pleaded guilty to attempted kidnapping and custodial interference for taking his young daughter to Mexico.
Maricopa County prosecutors say 33-year-old Brent Anderson entered his plea Thursday.
He's scheduled to be sentenced on March 17.
Authorities say Anderson failed to meet the toddler's mother at a designated place and time to return the child to her on Feb. 22, 2012.
Anderson and the woman have joint custody of the now 4-year-old girl.
Police detectives tracked Anderson and the child to the small Mexican town of Pueblo Nuevo, north of Mazatlan.
Anderson was arrested and later extradited to Arizona to face charges.
Authorities say the mother and daughter were reunited in early April 2012 after being separated for 45 days.
