Donald Feiertag By Jennifer Thomas
CHANDLER, Ariz. – A 77-year-old man who has been missing since Saturday morning has been found safe, according to the Chandler Police Department.
Donald Feiertag told family members that he was going for a drive to the Casa Grande/Arizona City area, but he never returned home. Police said it is not unusual for him to do that, but he normally returns home on the same day.
Feiertag was found by an APS worker near 543rd Avenue and Harquahala Road around 11 a.m. Wednesday. The area is just south of Interstate 10 and west of Tonopah.
Feiertag was with his vehicle, which had gotten stuck on an unmaintained road, according to Detective Seth Tyler.
Tyler said Feiertag was conscious and coherent when contacted. He was transported to a local hospital for observation.
