SCOTTSDALE -- The Arizona Diamondbacks are gearing up for a great season, and they held their first full workout Wednesday morning.

Javier Soto was out at Salt River Fields to catch all the action.

Fans are welcome to come watch and get up-close and personal with the players. You might even score an autograph or two.

Spring training starts in less than a month. The first full game will be played Feb. 26 against the Dodgers.

"So it begins," says Diamondback Cody Ross. "It's another year and we're all excited to be here. This is the first full workout for us as a team. You can just see it on everyone's faces that everyone's excited and ready to get going."

The team has worked off-season in the weight room and training room, and today it all starts paying off. "It's almost like Christmas," Cody says. "You wake up and today's the day we start off on our journey trying to win a championship. It starts today."

He believes that dream in within reach. "You just have to have a team full of guys who believe in each other," says Cody.
