PHOENIX -- A Phoenix teacher accused of having sexual contact with two former students on campus has pleaded not guilty.
Carlos Pineda Borja, 41, entered his plea at his arraignment Monday morning. His next scheduled court date is March 27.
Borja was arrested on Jan. 23 on suspicion of two counts of sexual conduct with a minor, one count of molestation of a child and one count of sexual abuse.
Phoenix police said Borja was a math teacher at Morris K. Udall School at the time of his arrest.
They said he allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with two former students in his classroom during school hours in the 2012-2013 academic year.
The female students were both 14 years old at the time.
