Suspect sought in theft of copper wire from APS

PHOENIX -- Police are searching for at least one person who stole copper wire from an electrical power substation in northwest Phoenix.

A man was captured on surveillance video removing copper wire from the fenced yard of the Arizona Public Service (APS) facility shortly after 11 a.m. Dec. 10.

Police said he might have had an accomplice and they possibly left the area on mountain bikes.

The suspect is described as a white man between between 25 and 30 years old, about 6 feet tall or slightly taller, and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds.
