PHOENIX (AP) -- A motorcyclist is hospitalized in critical condition following a collision with a Phoenix garbage truck.

Police say the accident occurred Thursday after the truck pulled out of a transfer station.

The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and has life-threatening injuries. He wasn't wearing a helmet.
