SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Police are searching for four people who invaded a Scottsdale home late Monday night.

About 11:35 p.m., a woman was reportedly standing outside an apartment on the 7900 block of East Via De Ventura asking for help. When the female resident opened the door, the woman and three men rushed into the apartment, police said.

The intruders reportedly held the resident against her will, hitting her and threatening her with knives.

Police said the group was looking for an acquaintance of the resident.

When the intruders did not find their intended target at the apartment, they stole electronics and jewelry and fled the home, police said.

The resident declined medical treatment.

The female suspect is described as white with brown hair, 5 feet 2 inches tall, thin, and in her 20s. She was wearing a white sweatshirt at the time.

Police are also searching for a Hispanic man with a large build, 5 feet 9 inches tall, and in his 20s or 30s. He was wearing a large dark jacket and blue jeans.

The other two suspects are described as white men. One man is believed to be in his 40s and just over 6 feet tall. He was wearing a hoodie, blue jeans and a green baseball cap. The other man appeared to be in his 20s or 30s, had a thin build, and was wearing a hoodie and blue jeans.
