CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) -- Police have released the 911 call that led to the arrest of an Arizona woman accused of trying to kill her hospitalized husband by injecting fecal matter into his IV line.

The call came from the Chandler Regional Hospital's head of security Friday afternoon.

Hospital staff say they found 55-year-old Rosemary Vogel tampering with the IV line and saw a brown substance blocking the tube.

A hospital lab test identified the substance as fecal matter. Police say a trace amount of a brown substance also was found in the needle of an otherwise empty syringe found in Vogel's purse.

She's being held on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder.

Police don't have a possible motive.

The incident occurred after 66-year-old Phillip Vogel had undergone a heart procedure. He remains hospitalized.
